This is an “update” on making my house a home.
The window and door people came. Measured and left. I didn’t hear for ages so
I went to the agency to inquire. I asked to see my application and the gentleman who came to my house had designated it as a frame house. It is ROCK. That changes everything. The windows have grader blades above them for added support. The structure of the windows is completely different from a frame house. I pointed out the mistake and the receptionist was appalled. She called the foreman on his cellphone and he didn’t know about the mistake.
Making this mistake has cost me a huge amount of time. I was 2nd on the list and am now 7th. I’m waiting for the foreman to come to measure and record the changes that will have to be made in order to construct the windows. The doors are also involved.
The foreman called me and “hinted” that they may be able to replace the ceilings but he doesn’t want them touched until the windows and doors are done. I have been going up into the attic and placing insulation panels over the ceiling holes and it is helping keep the cold out. I painted one room and put the good furniture back into it. There is a hole in that ceiling. It was caused by my putting my foot through the sheet rock one day. :) .My digital died or I would take pics and include them. As soon as I get a working computer, I can transfer the pics I have on it to DK.
As you can imagine, I am stressed beyond my max. This is getting on my last nerve but I am grateful that I know I’ll eventually have help. As MAN said “they will be there when the wind blows and the snow flies”.
Thank you all so much for the beautiful and caring replies about Dinah. I’m still grieving. I truly believe that the shooter intended to hit Dinah. She was about 30 yards from me. It was a .22 and I found the holes. The bullet went through here heart, I’m sure. I’m grateful for that. I believe it was some random asshole who thought it would be fun to shoot her.
I miss everyone so very much. Maybe the computer goddess will smile on me soon. PatsyColene
